Build the Blushing Burro

I, Roxy Dominguez, have been a player in the restaurant industry for over 20 years. Libations are my specialty and my passion for providing hospitality through a liquid experience is what I relish in.

I was unfortunately beginning to feel discouraged that the industry was just too unstable and risky after the last financial crisis and the pandemic. I’ve had to walk away from other business ventures in the past, but still no other vocation has called to me, and I refuse to give up my dream of owning and running my own business.

The idea of the Blushing Burro Mobile Libations came to me when we moved to Lander, Wyoming and into a house that has a massive over-sized garage; perfect for dreaming, scheming, and creating. Before my husband, Borja Dominguez, takes on a new job this Spring we decided that we could purchase a 1973 Stidham horse trailer and complete the build out of a mobile bar to cater events and weddings around the Lander area. Providing draft beer hookups, refrigeration, and the space to prepare and serve both non-alcoholic and cocktails is our end goal.

We are trying to avoid the high interest rates of loans and going into debt over the construction and purchase of equipment. We are aiming to take advantage of the time we have now to devote to the project. Our mission is to have the bar up and running in late Spring of 2023. Having devoted so much of my life working in restaurants helping to create memories and providing experiences to remember I’m hoping to rely on the kindness of contributors, people that believe in me, to help fund our campaign so I can continue my passion to serve.

I am excited to provide a variety of tangible rewards with my new logo and beverage-based gifts as well as the reward of future bookings of the Blushing Burro to contributors. There will be raffle prizes too for following and sharing @blushing_burro. I want everyone who contributes to feel the excitement and witness the progression of the build, I will update constantly on social media from the installation of new floorboards to the tapping of the first keg I want my community to be a part of it all. The results of many small contributions will fund my passion into reality.

Phase 1 of my campaign is to raise the funds to complete the structural buildout. We will need wood, the concession window, the welding equipment, electrical components, a sink, paint and and the kegerator. If my initial goal is met I can move on to phase 2 which will include additional refrigeration units, coolers, and bar equipment.
